Week 4 - From Friday's class

Assignment: Homework #2 :Chapters 7 & 8 of  Faith: Security & Risk were distributed. For next week you are to have read both chapters and respond  to questions 3 & 4 from Chapter 7 AND questions 3 & 4 from Chapter 8.  Please type, 12 point font (single or double spaced), 5 sentence minimum for EACH question. This will be a graded assignment.

Week 3

Assignment #1 – Review Folwer handout. Read also Chapters 4, 5 & 6 of Faith: Security and Risk Questions to consider: 1. What is the connection between faith and morality? (Chapter 4) 2. At what point in your life was your faith first challenged? Did your faith grow or diminished? How and why? (Chapter 5) 3. In what ways do you see faith as a risk? (Chapter 6). Choose ONE of these questions and write a 1 1/2 to 2 page reflection paper (refer to class handout on reflection paper requirements.

Also, You need to begin exploring the Religion in The News websites list in the right margins of this blog.

Assignment #2: Review Fowler Handout and Class notes. * Quiz will be given on terms and  first four stages of faith on Friday 9 /20.
